LAB FOR WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 29TH


We have two days off htis week (tues/wns) but we still will be having lab! Your teacher will be arranging your schedule so you will not miss out on your required lab time. L.E. will be looking at animal cells trough the microviewer, Chemistry will be working on density with pennies, Earth Science will be working with contour maps and Physics will be exploring vectors and force tables!ENJOY!!!!

LAB FOR WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 22!!!!!!!!

EARTH SCIENCE will be learning how to use topagraphic map symbols, PHYSICS WILL BE MEASURING MASS, LIVING ENVIRONMENT will be working with the microscope at frogs blood and a few other interesting things, and CHEMISTRY will be learning how bunsen burners work! Be sure not to be absent on your scheduled lab day.

As of this writing we have no scheduled make-up labs! Remember----you must have a miniumum of 1200 minutes of hands on ab to sit for the regents and pass your science course!!!!!!!!

WEEK TWO!!!!


LIVING ENVIRONMENT

Living environment will be working on the parts of the microscope and "The LetterE". Come and "see" into the world of microscopy!

CHEMISTRY

Come and see all the materials you will be working with this year! One of them is named after the image to the right

EARTH SCIENCE
Earth Science will be learning how to use the electronic balances this week. This lab involves all sorts of things including blocks of wood and graduated cylinders.
PHYSICS
Our newest lab---come this week and work with Vernier Calipers and balances. We have lots of cylinders, spheres and shapes to work with!

SAFETY LAB


SAFETY IN THE LAB WILL BE THE TOPIC OF DISCUSSION IN YOUR CLASSROOMS THIS WEEK. PLEASE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO YOUR TEACHER. SAFETY IS A VERY IMPORTANT TOPIC. WE DO NOT WANT ANY INJURIES THIS YEAR IN LAB!! HOPE TO MEET YOU WHEN YOU COME DOWN FOR YOUR TOUR OF THE LAB! HANDS ON LAB WILL BE STARTING ON SEPTEMBER 15TH. GET READY FOR SOME EXCITING EXPERIMENTS IN LIVING ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY AND EARTH SCIENCE.
